Oxidation Drying - Foil Quality

Tough Tex is one of Van Son's more specialist process inks that is designed to print onto non-porous substrates (or printing materials), such as plastics, styrene, static cling, polyboards, foils, vinyls and synthetic papers.

This particular ink has been formulated to dry by oxidisation (an oxygen-based chemical reaction) due to the fact that the ink cannot penetrate the surface. Van Son Tough Text contains special varnishes to aid the drying process and to bond the ink to the material. This means there is no need for mineral oil.

Tough Tex ink does not contain any aggressive solvents so you can have peace of mind that no harm will come to your ink rollers, rubber printing blankets or the surface you are printing on.

Tough Tex can also be used to print on regular paper and chromolux stocks were a rapid, stronger bonding is required. Tough Tex is extremely hard drying and delivers a hard finish.
