Not all spray powders are the same; the uniformity of the particle size with KSL spray powders allows up 33% less powder to be used when compared to other regular brands.

An essential property of any anti set-off spray powder is the structure and conformity of particle size. These illustrations show the function of the anti set-off powder working as spacers between the freshly printed sheets. The difference achieved by a uniform spray is clearly illustrated above. The application of equal grains at a regular distance ensures minimum consumption, even stacks and trouble free printing. We estimate that due to the regular and uniform particle size distribution of KSL spray powders to other competitive powders a reduction in the spray setting of approximately 33% can be achieved.

Water based coating

When printed sheets are to be coated with water based emulsions it is recommended to use a spray powder that is hydrophobic, that means water repellent. Our S5 WL spray powder is water repellent and also due to its regular particle size enables a reliable spacer between the sheets enabling sufficient air in the stack, which is required to support oxidative drying of the ink beneath the coating.

S5 gives printed sheets the soft feel which many printers prefer. Used carefully, S5 is quite suitable for sheets which are to be laminated or UV varnished. The S5 16 and 22 grades have been refined twice thus further improving the particle consistance an

This powder is designed especially for sheets that are to be water-based coated. The powder is treated with a special coating to act as a water repellent which ensures equal spacing between the sheets allowing for sufficient air between the sheets, which

L3 is a state-of-the-art soluble dry spray powder designed for printers who de-spray before processing. Despite its solubility, L3 gives excellent anti set-off protection.

Recommended as the first choice for most applications, K4 is six times heavier than starch so it reaches the sheet faster. K4 gives excellent protection yet keeps the press cleaner as there is very minimal dust formation. Further advantages are the insen

Similar in properties to K4 but as the particles have been coated, K4+ has a reduced tendency to scratch. Ideal with IR drying equipment
